Professional Drum Teacher with 30 Years Experience

I have been playing and teaching drums professionally for 30 years and consequently I bring a wide and diverse style to all of my lessons.

There is not and never has been only one way to play drums and all aspiring drummers need to embrace this. Pupils get older and musical styles change.

Different rhythms get more or less popular and technical innovations make new and greater demands on the drummer. There was an old gag told many years ago when they said a five piece band consisted of 4 musicians and a drummer.

To have any success in today’s world, any aspiring drummer needs to be well acquainted with all styles and I endeavour to impart this during my teaching. In today\'s world, a five piece band definitely consists of five musicians, one of whom is the drummer.

All age groups are welcome

I charge a very reasonable £15 for a 40 minute lesson.
